Intermittent rivers: a grapical overview

One of the main drivers leading to the undervaluation of drying river networks is the lack of knowledge from people, and often water managers, about what drying rivers are, where and why they are, what biodiversity they host and what services they provide to society. This is complicated by the fact more and more streams and rivers are drying due to climate change and over-abstraction of water. In creating this exhibition, we aim to bridge the gap between science and society. First developed for one of DRYvER’s drying rivers, the Albarine in France, we have translated it in English to expand its dissemination to partners across and beyond DRYvER.
